Gabriela has worked in education for seven years. Her experience includes teaching high school journalism and technology applications. She has also worked as a communications specialist and received awards for photography and graphic design from Texas Schools Public Relations Association (TSPRA). She is currently the research and innovation strategist for the Innovation Department at ECISD. She's engaged students and teachers with citizen science projects, where they are able to contribute real data to science. Gabriela has also worked as the ECISD co-director of the Student Spaceflight Experiments Program, a program of the National Center for Earth and Space Science Education (NCESSE). She has also assisted with TEDxAshburn.
